The culinary arts are made up of people who study the preparation and service of food items in to the public or private sector. They work in a range of sectors including, but not limited to hotels, full-service restaurants, private clubs, corporate dining, institutional catering, caterers, and home meal replacement. According to the National Restaurant Association, the restaurant industry now employs nearly 13 million people and is expected to add 2 million jobs over the next 10 years.
